Al Sahba ?
Al Sahba is a name we came up in relation with the Arabic poetry where this word is mentioned through the art and history of poetry. Sahba also means the color Scarlet in Arabic, in which this coffee lot color looks alike!
One great example of Al Sahba and how it connects Coffee and Poetry is the poet Abu Nuwas when he wrote " The one who married Al Sahba ".
The Coffe lot:
The Sidamo region of Southern Ethiopia holds the distinction as one of the three trademarked coffee regions in Ethiopia. Alongside Harrar and Yirgacheffe, Sidamo holds a Designation of Origin for coffee grown in the region.
Many would say that the strength of Sidamo coffees lie in the regions’ diversity of profiles. The many microclimates and varying soil types lead to striking differences from town to town. Varieties can differ from town to town and even farm to farm, where each farmer may have more than one unique variety seldom or never found outside their plot.
Coffee farmers in this community pick only the ripest berries, and sun-dry them on perforated and raised coffee tables known as Raised African Beds, with care to rake the coffee daily, then processing and sealing it in protective bags before being bagged in our own branded sacks, shipped to our roastery, before finally making it to your Finjal!
